About Us
Founder, owner and telemarketer: David Basilious
I have more than twenty years of successful sales and telemarketing experience in setting sales appointments and reaching sales targets.
I gained my knowledge from hands on experience, starting as a telemarketer 25+ years ago through to being a Transport CEO and Co-Owner at Sydney Transport Services Group and now also the founder and owner of Sydney Telemarketing Services Group.
The majority of my time has been spent in the role of Sales Executive, BDM and Sales Manager and most recently I was appointed as the CEO of Sydney Transport Services Group Pty Ltd. In each and every role that I have ever held, quality telemarketing and appointment setting has been the key to my success.
During my 25+ years in sales, I have always telemarketed and set my own appointments.
I never relied on “leads from your average telemarketer”, as they weren’t qualified.
I lost a lot of hair during my younger years, due to the fact that initially I was being provided dud leads, by telemarketers that had no idea!
I found the quality of the leads to be of the lowest quality, at times feeling quite frustrated with the results, this having a flow on affect, resulting in minimal sales.
I found that a lot of the telemarketers were working only because they had no other choice , or were from other countries on a short term visa that were only working in this role to provide holiday spending money.
A quick fix, if you like.
I couldn’t see any real passion or hunger.
I couldn’t see anyone seriously wanting to pursue this and turn it into a lifelong role or a career.
It was over 25 years ago when I said to myself, ENOUGH!
From that point in time, I only met prospective clients as a result of my own appointment setting.
I knew they were qualified and I knew I had commitment and a high chance of converting them into a client from the very first phone call.
Let’s face it. People often look down upon a person, when they know they are a telemarketer.
This is one of the reasons, this industry attracts the lower end of the scale.
It is seen as a lower level position.
I totally disagree. I see this (telemarketing) as being one of the most important role in any business.
I fully understand the importance of setting qualified face-to-face sales appointments for all my current and future clients and my other business that I co-own, Sydney Transport Services Group.
I love seeing Australian businesses grow.
I feel a great sense of achievement and pride in seeing the end results knowing that I am contributing to this growth and the growth of the Australian economy, all from building a solid foundation from the get go.
Quality telemarketing and qualified leads, resulting in quality appointments and sales which results in $$.
